It’s hardly surprising that my old friends and family could not and can not understand why I became a Christian.

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

Gospel of John 3:19-21 ESV

Does it get any clearer?  Why will you perish?  God loves you sinner, listen up and be reconciled while you have the chance.

Repent and believe the Gospel ( Good news ).

The way to Heaven is ascending; we must be content to travel uphill, though it be hard and tiresome, and contrary to the natural bias of our flesh.
